Have the book made in hardcover or paperback? Hardcover volume is more expensive, but not too expensive. Approximately 2-3 eur per book should be added, depending on the format and circulation. Hardcover books have sewn inside pages and are easier to flip through. A compromise between a glued paperback and a hardcover book can be a paperback with sewn inside pages.

What format do you want your book in?? Our recommendation is to choose one of the standard formats, which will allow you to save on paper scraps and technical processes in production. These are some of the standard formats:

• A6( 105 x 148 mm)
• A5( 148 x 210 mm)
• B5( 170 x 240 mm)
• A4( 210 x 297 mm)
• or for hardcover volumes 200 x 280 mm

Will the pages be text only, or do you want to include color images and pictures as well?

This is important when calculating the price, because books with color pictures are significantly more expensive than printing in black and white. When calculating the price, it is also important to know whether all the pages will be in color or only a few. If you include only a few color pages in your book, it will definitely be cheaper than printing everything in color.

What will be the circulation of the book? This is a very important issue because the price of the book depends on it. We can print small editions - 20 or 50 books - or larger editions - 300 and 500 books. It should be remembered that after the first edition, reprinting of the book is always possible. If the book is only for your friends and relatives as a gift or keepsake, then 50 copies will probably be enough. But if you also want to distribute the book in stores, you should plan to print at least 100 copies.

Do you want to keep the book for yourself or would you like us to distribute it to bookstores as well?? Our publishing house offers a service that allows you to distribute your published work in Latvian bookstores. We have concluded cooperation agreements with the largest booksellers in Latvia( both retail and wholesale) . When agreeing on the distribution of a book, it should be taken into account that it is a paid service and that payment for the sale is made only after the books are sold in stores. The publishing house will also help you deal with the interior layout of the book and the design of the cover design. The book will be assigned an ISBN code), which will allow your book to be found in the catalog of the National Library of Latvia.
