Sociālā atbalsta un izglītības fonds

Foundation "Sociālā atbalsta un izglītības fonds" is a public benefit organization that works to promote the well-being, safety, and comprehensive development of children left without parental care. The Foundation unites four family support centers throughout Latvia - in Riga, Liepāja, Daugavpils and Smiltene - providing a unified, accessible and professional support system for children and families in the regions.

• developing forms of out-of-home care, promoting family-style care for children left without parental care;
• education of persons involved in the implementation of out-of-home care;
• providing psychosocial support to persons and children involved in the implementation of out-of-home care;
• psychological assessment of individuals within the scope of competence specified in regulatory enactments.

The main advantage of the foundation is its wide regional coverage and targeted focus on preparing children for independent living. By uniting centers in four regional hubs in Latvia, the foundation is able to provide an individual, stable and safe environment for children, helping them in their transition to adult life and creating a sustainable support network in each community.
